How to Set Intrusion Detection?

by Kyle LaPach 28 Apr 2025

Answer:

Intrusion detection identifies objects that enter a specified area within the camera’s view and triggers an alarm when such activity occurs.

Note: This function and interface may vary with models. Refer to your specific device's Web interface for details.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Intelligent > Smart Settings. Choose Intrusion and click the Add button.
  2. Select Intrusion Detection.
  3. In the Detection Rule area, click the Add icon to create a detection area. Use the Delete icon to remove an area.
  4. Drag the box borders on the preview to define the detection zone and range.
  5. Configure the following parameters:
    • Time Threshold: Minimum duration (in seconds) an object must remain in the area before triggering an alarm.
    • Sensitivity: Higher values detect smaller or more subtle movements.
    • Percentage: Minimum ratio of the object size to the detection zone before triggering an alarm.
  6. Set alarm-triggered actions and an arming schedule as needed. Refer to How to Set Motion Detection Alarm for detailed steps.
  7. Click Save to apply the settings.
