How to Set Heat Map?

by Kyle LaPach 28 Apr 2025

Answer:

The heat map feature uses color gradients to indicate visitor traffic density in the camera's field of view.

Note: Only certain models support this function. Refer to your specific model for availability.

Note: Management pages and supported alarm/arming options may vary. Please consult the actual Web interface for accuracy.

Steps:

  1. Go to Setup > Intelligent > Smart Settings. Select Heat Map and click the Add button.
  2. Select Enable to activate the heat map feature.
  3. Set Background Update Rate. Higher values result in faster image refresh rates.
  4. Set Sensitivity. Higher values allow detection of smaller objects.
  5. Set Min. Object Size. Higher values filter out smaller objects from detection.
  6. Configure the Update Interval for reporting statistics to the platform.
  7. Set alarm-triggered actions and an arming schedule as needed. For detailed alarm configuration, refer to How to Set Motion Detection Alarm.
  8. Click Save to apply the settings.
