Answer:
Privacy Masking allows you to block out sensitive areas in a camera’s field of view, such as ATM keypads, private desks, or residential windows. The mask adjusts dynamically if a PTZ camera moves or zooms.
Note: This feature and its maximum number of masks may vary by model. Some models support up to 24 privacy masks.
Steps:
- Navigate to Setup > Image > Privacy Mask.
- Click the Add icon to create a new privacy mask or the Delete icon to remove one.
- Masking Options:
- Mask a Position: Click the box labeled “Mask” and drag it to the desired location.
- Mask an Area: Click and drag to draw a custom box over the area you want to block.
- Choose the Mask Mode:
- Regular Mode: Static block shape.
- Irregular Mode: Dynamic block shape that adjusts with PTZ movement.
- Click Save to apply the settings.
