How to Set Scene

by Kyle LaPach 05 May 2025

Answer:

Scene profiles allow Uniview cameras to adjust image parameters based on lighting, environment, or time of day. Users can switch manually or enable automatic scene switching using defined conditions.

Note: This feature and its options may vary by model. Always refer to the actual Web interface.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Image > Image and click Scenes.
  2. Select a scene to view and adjust its image parameters.
  3. Available Preset Scene Modes:
    • Common: For general outdoor usage
    • Indoor: Tuned for indoor lighting conditions
    • High Sensitivity: Best for low-light environments
    • Highlight Compensation: Suppresses strong light sources, ideal for capturing license plates
    • WDR: Ideal for high-contrast lighting (e.g., doorways, windows)
    • Face: Optimized for capturing faces in complex lighting
    • Custom: Create a user-defined profile
  4. Enable Auto Switching if desired. You can set conditions such as:
    • Time schedule
    • Illumination level
    • Camera elevation (for PTZ models)
  5. Click the Set icon to designate a default scene or configure auto-switching parameters.
  6. Save settings to apply the active scene configuration.
