How to Set LPR (License Plate Recognition)

Note: Only certain models support LPR. Refer to your specific model for support details.
Note: If the camera has a Micro SD card installed, snapshots are saved to the card. Otherwise, snapshots are saved to the PC. Click Open Image Folder to view them. Plate close-up images appear in the upper-left pane. Use Clear All Records to delete snapshot records.
Draw Detection Area
- Navigate to Setup > Intelligent > Traffic Monitoring.
- Click Draw Detection Rules.
- Draw a detection area directly on the snapshot.
- Click Inclination Line and draw a line representing the road surface tilt.
Reset Flow Counting
- Go to Setup > Intelligent > Traffic Monitoring > Smart > Reset Flow Counting.
- Set the time interval for resetting LPR snapshot records.
Smart-Snapshot Handling
- Navigate to Setup > Intelligent > Traffic Monitoring > Snapshot Handling.
- Use the default settings unless specific adjustments are required.
- Unidentified Vehicles: Enable or disable generating records for unidentified vehicles (enabled by default).
- Generated Photos: Choose whether to display close-up plate images (display is enabled by default).
Photo Configuration (Snapshot OSD Settings)
- Navigate to Setup > Intelligent > Traffic Monitoring > Photo.
- Configure OSD (On-Screen Display) settings:
- Font Color: Set text color for OSD.
- Background Color: Set background color for OSD text.
- Font Size: Define the size of the OSD text.
- Character Space: Adjust the spacing between characters.
- Time Format: Set the display format for time.
- Date Format: Set the display format for date.
- OSD Items: Select and customize which data is displayed on the snapshot image.
